| Traffic Update! What's Hot and What's Not for 2009
What's HOT
- Getting up 5 minutes early to breeze through the drop off line!
- Biking with a beanie under your helmet!
- Parking on approved streets and skipping to school to keep warm!
What's NOT
- Dropping off your kids on side streets.
- Allowing your child to break the rules. The No Stopping Sign means everyone!
- Causing dangerous conditions for everyone because you are late.
Because
of construction and cold weather, there are even more cars on the road.
There are also new signs with new parking/stopping regulations. Please
follow the rules. They are meant to keep our children safe!

Charlie Cummings to Represent Oak Knoll in Berkley Spelling
Oak
Knoll's first, Scripps sponsored Spelling Bee featured outstanding
effort, poise, and sportsmanship by our 4th and 5th grade
spellers. There was marked and focused pride directed towards
these spellers as classmates, teachers, administrators, and parents
watched "best effort" in action. Congratulations go to all of our
spellers: Reed Fratt, Katie Weiner, Jack Maxwell, Helen Gordan,
Jonathan Goldsmith, Eric Laderman, Cosmo van Hoff, Charlie Cummings ,
Gabby Giodano, Greta Sten, Izzy Rhyu, Beth Dolin, Meredie Cohen, Hugo
McMillan, Henry Marks, Connor Johnston, Paige Hagerman, Christian
Haesemeyer, Eddie Ives, and Emmett Yue.
Eric Laderman made the
final rounds, but in the last four rounds, only two challengers
remained... Helen Gordan and Charlie Cummings. Challenged with ever
more difficult words... Charlie Cummings prevailed and will now move on
to the Berkley challenge, the next step of two, as he reaches for the
Nationals.
Well done ALL! Charlie, BEST of luck!
